Paradise is a Hmong-American pop band. Their music is best described as pop with a melodic sensibility. Originally started in 1989. Paradise is now a six piece band consisting of Ko Yang, Phong Yang, Haget Yang, Long Her, Cina Chang, and Nao Vang. Each Member brings with them a diverse musical background that adds to their performances and music.
The group has recorded five full length CDs and one remixed. With a new one in the works. It is the goal of the group to ever expand their musical limitations and thus, bring into a new emotional communication with their fans. Therefore, every project completed has been a musical progression into the next. Not only has Paradise amounted considerable recording time, but the group is a multi-talented group. Along with their CDs, they have one video and a second on the way. Fans flock to their autograph booth for posters, t-shirts, and pictures, in which case the group is always happy to oblige. If the group isn't working on their music, they are usually busy working on choreography or other projects that encompasses music entertainment. Since 1997, Paradise has been performing at various venues through out the United States, such as MN State Fair, St. Paul Civic Center, & Aldrich Arena in St. Paul, MN; Brown County Arena in Green Bay, WI; Lenior Fairground in Lenior, NC; Sacramento Convention Center and Cal Expo State Fair in Sacramento, CA; and Rainbow Ballroom and Big Fresno Fair in Fresno, CA. Paradise's original songs/videos and performance style is not only capturing audiences but also is catching the eye of the media. With publicity from Asian medias -Hmong Magazine (Sacramento), Asian Team Magazine, HmongTimes, HmongTribune, Asian-American Press, Hmong Wameng Radio, Hmong American Radio, & Hmong Minnesota Radio (Twin Cities), HmongToday Ch.49, & KBIF 900AM (Fresno), SuabHmong Radio (Milwaukee), Hmong Community Radio (Green Bay) to American medias -Fresno Bee, TV stations KSEE24, KJMP 26, ABC 30, & CBS 47 (Fresno), Star Tribune, NBC Ch.11, & CBS Ch.5(St. Paul), Sacramento Bee, & CBS Ch.13 (Sacramento), & GreenBay Newspaper). With the expanding entertainment business, Paradise has been a pioneering force in the Hmong community through out the world- China, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Philippin, Australia, Burma, France, French Guiena, Argentina, Canada and United States. Recently, with the founding of the PME label, the group can only go to the next level. Along with their collective experience and passion, Paradise is a musical force to be reckoned with. |
